Camp Dizhana has been developed with the principles of zero impact on the environment. It is situated on the banks of the Khwai River bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. This area is renowned for spectacular game viewing. Delightful campsites as well as en-suite safari tents. Game drives are offered around the Khwai river area as well as into the Moremi Game Reserve.
Guests sleep on comfortable twin or double beds with duvets and mosquito nets. Each tent has bedside tables, clothes rack as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Bathrooms consist of flush toilets and hot and cold water showers.
The camps power supply is solar power for heating water and gas, paraffin and camp fires for lighting and cooking.
The accommodation as well as the ablution facilities have been designed to leave no footprint.
Activities:
Situated on the Khwai River, which has the reputation of being one of the best game viewing areas in Botswana, the river extends from the Okavango River and forms part of the Northern border of Moremi Game Reserve. The camp is on 10 ha with traversing rights across a concession of 40,000 ha.
Game viewing is really concentrated along the river with a wide variety of animals reguarly seen which include: elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, serval, cheetah, hippo and the wild dog. Birding is superb with large amounts of raptors frequenting the area.
Activities include guided game drives and walks lasting normally around 3 to 4 hours. Drives and walks take place in the early morning and around 15h00, night drives are also offered which gives one the opportunity to view the nocturnal
